The sad truth is that these foals are born in the slaughterhouse holding pens.
Their dams are killed and the foals are either starved to death or bashed in the head and thrown on the refuse pile.
We do not feel that this is how their lives should start and end. We cannot save every horse, but we can save as many of the foals as possible and give them the wonderful lives they deserve.
We believe they deserve to run with the wind racing the eagle, playing with other foals their age, meeting new and interesting animals and people. Finding their new best friend in a person. Whether they be a young child getting their first horse or an older person who has dreamed of owning their own best friend for their whole lives.
We believe we can make a better life for these young icons of freedom. That is exactly what we strive to do.
We know the pictures below are disturbing, but we post them to better educate people as to what the fates are of these innocent souls. Hopefully you will help us to stop this senseless slaughter.
